Children's Hearings
Children's Hearings organised by the Scottish Children's Reporter's Administration (SCRA). These hearings make significant decisions in relation to your child's life and your family life.
We understand that parents and carers whose children become subject to proceedings or child protection orders can feel upset and anxious. We can assist in all aspects of referral process including advice on child protection orders .We also provide representation for young people and are specialised in child centred practice. We provide specialist clear advice throughout your case.
Legal aid is available for this type of work provided you meet the eligibility requirements.
Child Contact & Residence
We are provide advice and representation in terms of pursing or defending contact. We are regularly instructed in terms of obtaining emergency orders to secure residence or to have a child returned to their main residence.
Where there is an agreement between those people holding parental rights and responsibilities there is no reason for the court to become involved. It is however important to regulate arrangements in the form of a Minute of Agreement.
Where there are disputes in terms of where children reside and how they should have contact they should have with another person then we are able to offer clear expert advice.
We provide legal aid for this provided you meet the eligibility requirements set by the Scottish Legal Aid Board.
